Choice Hotels International and Air France-KLM have announced a new partnership allowing members of Choice Privileges, Choice Hotels’ loyalty programme, to convert their points into Flying Blue Miles, the frequent flyer programme of Air France and KLM.
The collaboration broadens travel opportunities for Choice Privileges’ 65 million members worldwide. They can now exchange their points for Flying Blue Miles at a rate of 5,000 points to 1,000 miles.
The Flying Blue Miles earned can be redeemed for a variety of travel rewards on airlines within the SkyTeam alliance, including Air France, KLM, Transavia and additional partners. These rewards include:
- Flights across the extensive networks of Air France (167 routes), KLM (more than 165 routes), and Transavia (100 routes)
- Cabin upgrades for a more comfortable travel experience
- Access to airport lounges for relaxation and work before flights
- In-flight meals to enhance the journey
- Additional baggage allowance to accommodate more belongings
Flying Blue Miles also unlocks exclusive benefits from hundreds of online retailers through the Flying Blue Store.
“Choice is committed to offering members around the world unparalleled opportunities to redeem the points they’ve earned by staying at more than 7,000 hotels around the world,” said Nick Bosworth, director of marketing, brand and loyalty at Choice Hotels EMEA [Europe, the Middle East and Africa], in a statement.
“Our collaboration with Air France-KLM stands as a testament to this commitment, unlocking even greater value for the 65 million members of Choice Privilege worldwide.”
“With over 20 million members globally, we are constantly evolving our Flying Blue member value proposition,” added Benjamin Lipsey, senior vice-president of customer loyalty at Air France-KLM.
Air France-KLM joins Choice Privileges’ growing network of airline partners, including United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Qantas and Spirit Airlines.
Choice Privileges members can continue to earn points for eligible stays at more than 7,000 Choice Hotels locations worldwide.
